A recently-published survey has affirmed the value of financial advice, highlighting the growing appreciation of financial advice provided by professional financial planners. Commissioned by the Financial Advisers Association of Australia (FAAA), the report gleaned from surveying Australian investors showcases improved statistics, confirming that working with a financial adviser is beneficial to both financial confidence and peace of mind.
Here are some key findings from the survey supporting the value of financial advice:
- Better Off. Clients who work with a financial adviser consistently report that they are better off compared to those without professional guidance.
- Peace of Mind. Advised clients experience a sense of financial security, which enhances their overall peace of mind.
- Increased Confidence. Those receiving financial advice enjoy nearly 20% more financial confidence than unadvised investors.
- Favourable Experiences. 80% of advised clients report having a positive experience with their financial adviser.
- Younger Generations Benefit. Over 80% of Gen Y clients of financial advisers feel they are consequently in a better financial position.
- Value for Money. 90% of advised clients agree that the benefits of financial advice far outweigh its costs.
Referral benefits
Many of our clients have already referred their parents, siblings, children, grandchildren, friends, and colleagues to us. If you’re considering referring someone, here are a few more compelling reasons why early financial advice can make a difference:
- Quality of Life. Around 70% of Gen X and Gen Y clients report experiencing a good quality of life, compared to just 60% of their unadvised peers.
- Financial Confidence. 68% of Gen X and Gen Y clients feel financially confident, while only 55% of unadvised individuals in the same generations express the same confidence.
- Financial Satisfaction. 67% of Gen X and Gen Y clients are satisfied with their understanding of financial matters and their financial situation, compared to 54% of unadvised peers.
Previous surveys have consistently shown the financial benefits of working with an experienced adviser. As more data emerges, client satisfaction continues to rise over time.
